Spiranthes spiralis photographed 19 Nov 2024.
Sown on basic oats agar with B1 fungus. 3 to 4 weeks later small protocorms were seen. The petri dish of protocorms were then divided up into 3 or 4 slabs of agar and transferred onto fresh basic oats agar. This has boosted the protocorms’ growth and they ate now at a stage where they can be replated onto vented vessels with about 2 cm between each protocorm.
Dates on the labelling refer to sowing date and ‘re-slabbing’ date.
