
The soil from the mother culture which has shown positive signs of germinating Ophrys apifera is on the right hand side of this image. This is only 48 hours after it was transfered into a fresh sterile soil containing cardboard. You can clearly see the hyphae spreading along the cardboard strip which Alan refers to as the "Super Highway". We will need to wait six weeks before any possible signs of germination could be vissible. Keeping both finger and toes crossed.....
