After many and I do mean many attempts to find a mycorrhiza fungi which germinates Ophrys my friend Alan has finally had some luck. This is using soil samples where Ophrys apifera grows in the wild but this is the first success out of hundreads to trials. Still a long way to go and it may even not be possible to isolate this one. Fingers crossed and I will keep you updated.
